Changes to the Board of Directors

Antwerp – Thenergo (Euronext Brussels: THEB), a leading developer and operator of decentralized, clean energy projects, announces changes to the composition of its Board of Directors.
For personal reasons Jacques Putzeys has decided to renounce his function as chairman of the Board of Directors of Thenergo. The 7th of March 2006, at the transition from Energo to Theolia Benelux, Jacques Putzeys was appointed chairman of the Board of Directors. During his chairmanship Thenergo has experienced major developments. The Board of Directors thanks Mister Putzeys for his devotion and his services rendered. Jacques Putzeys stays member of the Board of Directors.
The 24th of March 2009, Sofinan bvba represented by Norbert Van Leuffel, was appointed as new chairman of the Board of Directors, in which he served as non-executive director and as chairman of the audit committee since July 2006. Mister Van Leuffel previously held senior management positions at General Biscuits/Lu-Brun, KPMG and Transmarcom.
For personal reasons Centenary bvba, represented by Yves Leysen, has resigned as member of the Board of Directors. On the proposal of Yves Leysen the Board decided to co-opt Bavaco nv, represented by Mister Ivo Van Vaerenbergh, as non-executive director. The confirmation of the co-optation will be presented at the following General Meeting of shareholders. Ivo Van Vaerenbergh is chairman of the Board of Directors of Aquafin and director at Reynaers Aluminium, VLEEMO, ZiekenhuisNetwerkAntwerpen and Lanbokas/Landbouwkrediet. Previously Ivo Van Vaerenbergh was chairman of the Board of Directors of VMH (Vlaamse Milieu Holding) and SCK (Belgian Nuclear Research Centre) and he was director at Indaver.
