Thenergo appoints CEO

Antwerp – Thenergo (Euronext Brussels: THEB), a leading developer and operator of decentralized clean energy projects, is proud to announce that the Board of Directors appointed Daniël Schurmans as Chief Executive Officer of the company. Daniël will, as of today, take up the daily management and will further develop the strategy and activities of the company.

Daniël gathered a thorough insight in the activities of Thenergo as member of the Board of Directors. Prior to his appointment as CEO Daniël worked as Business Unit Manager Sustainable Development at ParticipatieMaatschappij Vlaanderen (PMV).

In 2002, as Vice President Marketing & Product and member of the Board of Directors of Qualiflyer Ltd., he was at the leading edge of the airline company Brussels Airlines. He worked as Commercial Director at IMS in France and acquired a broad experience as Management Consultant in different Belgian companies. Daniël is Engineer in Metallurgy and Materials Science and specialized in Nuclear Energy (KULeuven).

Today the Board of Directors co-opted Johan Keppens as Non-executive Director of Thenergo to replace Daniël Schurmans. The confirmation of the co-optation will be presented at the following General Meeting of shareholders. Johan Keppens is Investment Manager at PMV. Johan is Commercial Engineer and specialized in Business Economics and Strategy. Previously he worked as Manager in the strategy division of Accenture.
