In February 2008, Belgian Minister President Kris Peeters attended the official opening of Agridagen Geel, a trade fair for poultry and pig farmers, built around health and energy (saving). The Minister made sure to visit the booth of leading developer and operator of sustainable energy projects, Thenergo. At the show, the company demonstrated how chicken and pig manure can act as raw materials for waste-to-energy power generation. (In Dutch)
